Holladay Runway: Desigual Spring 2017 Review at NYFW Autumn 2016

September is Fashion Month!  First, there's Vogue's September Issue then Fashion Weeks in four chic cities! Kicking off in NYC!  We're reviewing shows - giving styling tips, trendspotting and picking our fave pieces.

This Barcelona brand is a fave.  The colors! The fun! The embellishments!  The vibe was like if the 90s met the 70s and they all joined the military and brought their sewing kits.  AND the model's makeup done like snapchat filters was genius!

Collection Highlights:  Embroidered denim peppered with patches, pom poms and sequins - jackets, jeans, purses. .  if you love jeans upgrades abound here.  Army green jackets and shirts were gussied up with glitz or paired with long floaty dresses.  See through lace dresses were topped with sequined butterflies and can I tell you how much I was drooling over the granny square afghan inspired dresses and sweaters?  

Accessories:  Bejeweled berets and caps, flippy fringe tassel earrings and handbags.  Plus sandals fashioned from fabric scraps -  PSST! we are going to have a pair of tassel earrings in the shop so sign up for our elist if you'd like to know when they are listed.  

The Look:  Most of the hair was curly and free. Colorful but not overpowering makeup - except for the animal snapchat filters which still I felt were wearable!

Overall:  An easy to wear collection that would travel well - perfect for spas -  and add joy to any closet!
